Preschool Christmas Program

The Quinlan Boys walking into their rooms before the program!  two were so excited and one...not so much.
Gavin sitting on the stands....at this point, I wasn't sure if he was going to participate.
oh...but when the music started this little performer came alive!  He hopped up as fast as his chubby little two year old legs would allow and got to jingling his bells to Jingle Bells!
When it was over Gavin gave a little cheer for himself.  Ha.
I thought that maybe after watching the littlest Quinlan be so brave that my oldest, who looked oh so handsome I could eat him up, might change his mind and go to his classroom to prepare.  Not so much.
Enter Liam.  Just like in the spring program last May, little Liam just stood up there looking like the cool cat he is -- but with reindeer antlers on his head.  He is on the top row, second from the left (that is his favorite girl, Abby, next to him -- gosh, he loves that girl but that's another post).
Oh Liam.  He says that he sang.  I don't believe it.  But, at least he was up there!
My three handsome boys after the big night!

Gavin Turned 2

He still looks like a baby; but, boy can looks be deceiving!  This little guy has acted like a 4 year old for about 6 months now.  Only fitting that he has a birthday to officially increase his age....to 2!  I have heard the saying "The days are long, but the years are short."  That sure does ring true tonight.  I cannot beleive that my littlest baby boy is a two year old.  This spunky, lovable, hilarious, demonstrative, sweet, tractor-loving boy is a two year old.
From December 3rd until January 4th, we have chronological ages --2, 3, and 4.  LOVE.
 Opeing gifts.
Taking a time out from opeing to play with his new garage, cars, and keys set.
Singing to our two year old who didn't really want to be sung to.
Baby Gavers LOVED his Ireland soccer ball!
So excited to get some Thomas books from GA Julie.  We stopped to read each of them before opeing more.
Eeek!  A piano!  He was so excited to play it we couldn't even get it out of the box!
My family is full of like-mindedness.  Here's proof.  The top two cards are from GG and Grammie.  The bottom two from Great Aunts Dona and Julie.  Made me giggle.
Owen wrapped the gift he gave Gavin all by himself ;-)  Not pictured is Gavin's excitement over the contributions to his college fund (thanks to Chippie, Grandpa Tex, and Aunt Dona and the promise of a gift to be given at his birthday party by Grammie & Pa + two dollars to spend in the meantime at Sonic).  LOL my mom cracks me up.
Watching Sprout tv for a happy birthday wish.  I sent in his picture and a message; but, it didn't get aired ;-(
Can't beleive our baby is 2!!!
Happy 2nd Birthday, GavaRooney!

Autumn is Upon Us

I love every season; but, boy, Fall is the absolute best!  And, this fall has started off quite nicely!!

Liam got a GIANT trophy at the end of his soccer season.  After a very, very rough start, Liam ended up loving the game and playing his little heart out!  The last 2 games of the season seemed to really click for him.  Now, he can't wait to play with the Dragons again!!

Owen has one more t-ball game and then he will get his trophy, too!  These boys sure do love thei trophys and they work pretty hard for them!

During the break in between seasons, both boys have expressed an interested in horse riding lessons.  Fun!!

Gavin is doing awesome at swim lessons!  I will have to post pics!

Even with all of this organized activity; we still find hours every day to play outside.  This little cozy coupe gets quite a work out every day!!!

Gavin climbing in....
Liam giving him a big, fast push down the hill....
...Liam lets go for a bit and just runs behind....
...then catches back up and pushes Gavin even faster....see how fast his feet are going?  they aren't even in focus here.  They are going crazy fast.  I need to get a video of this....
Then, they head up the hill, turn around, and do it again.  They take turns pushing each other up and down the hills in our drive for hours.  Owen hops in every now in then....but, he sticks to the bikes and scooters more than the coupe.
Owen and Liam completed their first 100 piece puzzle last night.  Liam did a hand stand to celebrate.
This afternoon, I helped Gerard a bit by using the blower to blow the leaves out of our landscaping.  After I had quite a pile, I stopped working and we just played in the leaves!  It was so much fun!!!  I am so very thankful to live in a pocket of DFW where we can see the seasons change.  All the leaves turning colors and falling makes me sooooo happy!

That's all for now!

Bucket Boy & 100

I don't know why, but littest boy loves to walk around the house with buckets on his head.  He looks down through the bottom of it -- so he doesn't  wreck (very often).  He calls it a "hat" and when he does this, he gets everyone watching rolling with laughter.  Okay, so maybe I just answered my own question -- he does it for a laugh.  So...sharing my bucket boy with ya!

...maybe Tobie dog wants to wear the bucket for a while?  Nope.  Well, more bucket time for Gavin, then.
There are lots of moments during my days with the boys at home that I want to pull out my hair, cry, or hide for a few minutes hoping that noone "seeks" me so I can have a bit of peace.  But, there are just as many moments where i get tears of joy and pride....this is one of the latters.

Owen teaching Liam to write "100".  Owen was talking to Liam about the strokes on the paper and telling him how big of a number 100 is (i.e. not many people are 100 years old because its "so many).
Liam's turn to write the number.
When Liam finished, they both cheered!  They kept writing 100 in my day planner with an orange sharpie until their little selves got tired of it.
So, if I miss an upcoming appointment -- you now know why ....

RVing

Saturday was Aggie Game day and my boys were happy to pose in their Farmer's Fight shirts that Grammie snagged for each of them!  Whoop!  Then, after a birthday party Saturday morning and a soccer game in the afternoon, we headed to the RV to play and listen to the looooong Aggie game on the radio.

Some pictures of the boys having a blast....

our neighbor let us borrow his big Gator for the weekend....

i think Grammie had more fun on it than anyone else!  Pa, maybe she needs one for Christmas!

Owen and Pa planted bulbs today -- wonder if we'll see flowers in the spring.
Have a great week!
