Owen's 6th Party was a BLAST!

Owen's 6th birthday was last weekend and his space-themed party was a blast -- literally.  Lots of fire and fun was had ;-)
 
Mad Science came and performed some really neat experiments for the boys, including a rocket launch and a hover-craft ride.  So fun!!!  Here are some pictures from the party!.

 Owen had definite ideas on what his cake should look like -- we nailed it and he was happy, happy!

The playroom was decorated with planets we made from paper lanterns and with silver stars!! 


 Brave volunteers....  Owen wasn't one of them so he got to pick which kiddo went up to help the Mad Scientist.
 
 
 




After all of the fire was out upstairs we went outside for a rocket launch....
 

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....BLAST OFF!!!  Rocket launched and got lost in the woods.



 Then we venture to the front for a hover-craft ride.

 Last, but not least, we came in for chicken nuggets, fruit, and BIRTHDAY CAKE!

Christmastime.

We spent this Christmas in England visiting Chippie.  I posted pictures to Facebook taken with my smart phone while we were there.  These are the images from my *real* camera.  I forget how much I love my *real* camera sometimes.  So glad I took it with me as some of these pictures are new favorite of mine!!
 
Just off the plane -- the boys were such troopers on the over-night flight.  Owen and Liam ate dinner and went right to sleep.  Gavers tried.  He covered his head with his blanket and was out like a light...for about 45 minutes.  Then his ears started hurting.  A lot.  The rest of the trip, even with numbing drops for his ears, was miserable for him, for us, and the people around us.  But, we made it!

After a day at Chippie's recovering from jet lag, we hit the town for some shopping, Christmas decorations, and strolling.






 The night before Christmas, the boys set out cookies and milk, they fed the reindeer, and they went to bed remarkably early.
 We went to a Pub for lunch on Boxing Day -- took pictures in front of Chippie's house while we were all dressed up!

 Chippie's neighbor bought the boys a yummy gift -- they let me take a photo of them with it for Gwen to give to her as a thank you.
 Liam playing "Elf on the Shelf" never got old.

 We then had Christmas in Texas, where I didn't bring out the camera until company was leaving -- terrible of me.  Got this cute shot of Bram, Owen, and Liam. Gavin was not in the mood -- at all.
