1st T-Ball Game

Owen's first t-ball game tonight was so fun! He smiled from ear to ear the whole time and cannot wait for the next game. Good thing, because it is tomorrow!

Owen's on 3rd base...
Chatting with his friend, Skyler, during the game.
Owen's first hit. Didn't go far; but, at least he hit it and made it to first base!
Running from 2nd the 3rd base (in the black helmet).
Look at this boy go! He can hustle!
Go, Owen, Go!
He made it Home! Score!
Playing in the outfield.
Owen and his buddy, Ethan, the two newbies on the team.
After the game. He had so much fun!!!
We celebrated his first game with pizza and ice cream. Owen snappd some pictures during the car ride. hilarious.
Owen's view of Gavin in the car.
Daddy Q and me being silly.
Go Cubs!!!

The Box Monster

A Box Monster is attacking our house! It started off as a two-legged monster running after me and Liam.

Then, it grew to a four-legged, louder giggiling monster chasing just me.
Then, it giggled so much, the box top came off and two little boys erupted in fits of laughter. Fun times packing up this house to move to our new one!!
Speaking of, Gavin and I spend a couple of hours each day the other two are in school at the new house working on the pool and other little projects. I had my camera the other day and snapped a few photos of him walking around our front yard.
I just love this little outfit Kelly got him -- it finally fits him and is so perfect for Spring weather!
He is so cute just wandering around checking things out.
Love this littlest Quinlan boy so much!
I wonder if any of the boys will even remember that we once lived in a house that only had two, tiny trees in the front yard.
Here's to that Box Monster getting productive and helping Momma pack up the house!

Dr. Liam

Dr. Liam has opened his doors and is accepting new patients. Owen, so far, has been his top customer. This morning, Owen sought Dr. Liam's medical advice for a suspected broken bone.

Dr. Liam declared Owen's blood pressure "looks pretty good, Owen."
Then, he scanned the bone that hurt.
He looked at the other arm to compare the two and pointed out to Owen where a couple of his bones were.He checked Owen's ears for good measure.
Oh my cuteness.
Then, even though he declared that nothing was wrong with Owen, he gave him a shot. Owen was suprised by that since Dr. Liam said he wasn't sick. It was quite the comedy.
The healthy "patient".
And a picture of littlest brother, who was standing by with his trusty snacks the whole time.

Around the house(s)

We are nearing the date when we move to our new home! Took my camera to the new place the other day to try to get a shot of the boys on the front porch. As with all my attempts these days, this one came with it's own set of out-takes without a single "perfect" shot. Oh well. I do LOVE these doors, though! I think there will be lots of picture taking on our new front porch.

Owen and Liam just wanting to get the picture over with so they could run off to play.
Gavin looks so big sometimes and still so little other times. This picture was one of his "so big" moments.
Owen has been asking to help me in the kitchen a lot lately. As in, breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. I LOVE it. I love this time with him. Love teaching him to de-vein shrimp, cut soft things with a butter knife, and work with his hands to create some yummy things! We talk about what we are putting into the things we make and how mixing the ingredients make up something else. It's so fun. I hope he keeps wanting to do this with me. In this picture, he was coating shrimp with a flour-butter mixture before we covered them with crunched-up frosted flakes and coconut. The dish was really good. And, I think the fact that he did the whole thing pretty much on his own made him really proud.
Gavin is a helper, too. He likes to help me with the laundry....
It's tough work.
But, someone has to clean up behind these boys. Pun intended. LOL.

Photo Session at Home

After our visit to a portrait studio, I came home and tried more of my own. The picture above is my favorite. Not what I had in mind, of course, but, it's the boys as they are. Owen sitting and smiling as he was asked to. Gavin getting into something (the bubbles I was using to entertain the three of them, he wanted, and if Gavin doesn't get what Gavin wants....well, you can see what happens in the below out-takes). Liam being rediculously silly. That boy's listening ears are in need of repair. And, boy, has he figured out how to make you laugh so that you don't exactly notice he isn't listening. Love my boys and their very different personalities.

What are Gavin and Liam up to? Doing their own thing, for sure. Gavin's latest new word is "Eee-um". Liam has moved up in Gavin's world to favorite brother. Owen is feeling a little left out, but has realized he gets lots of mom time when Liam and Gavin play together. So, it seems to be okay for now.
Gavin before I handed over the bubbles. Oy.
Gavin a bit upset over the bubbles and trying to decide whether to cooperate or cry. He chose the latter (see above pic).
A pretty cute picture, if I do say so myself.
My sweet four-year old. LOVE this boy.
Silly Liam giving me a smile.
I think I will try again for "the shot". But, these are pretty fun options.

The Portrait Studio

I am starting to work on the boys' shared bedroom at our new house. Once I get something in my head, all who know me know that I can't rest until I complete the task and check it off my list. I want a picture of the three boys together that I can use in their new room. I have a hard time capturing them all together. Most of my shots tend to be of one or two boys cooperating and the other one or two not. I love those pictures. I will even print them and frame them. They are life. But, for the bedroom, I hoped for one of the three of them looking in the direction of the camera, all in the same "plane", and maybe even smiling. We got a few.

I have them posted here. I like them because they are my boys. But, let's face it, they are in a studio. Just not quite my style. Don't get me wrong. I loved them enough to buy them. To plaster them on this blog and to include them in my FB page. But, I am just not sure I will use any of them for their room. I think their room should reflect who they really are.
This one of Gavin and his blanket, with me holding him is cute, though.
And this one of all three just makes me laugh. Owen being cooperative. Yup. That's him. Liam being super silly. Yup. That's him. Gavin's mischievous smile. Yup. Fits him, too. But it's so studio. Hum. I know I took them to a studio, so what was I expecting??? Not sure.
This one was a favorite of mine; but, Owen and Liam blurred a little so I can't make enlarge it.
But this one of Gavin. Oh my. I love it. Made the whole experience worth it.
Then, we came home and I tried to get a few of them myself. Do you think I got one I love enough to use????
