For as long as I can remember, my mom took the family out to a patch of bluebonnets in the spring for our "annual bluebonnet photo." We weren't alone. As you drive along Texas highways this time of year, if there is a "good patch" somewhere along the way, you will see cars pulled over on the side and kiddos stuck out in the middle, sitting in the flowers they can't pick (its against the law), being asked to say "cheeeese". How could I resist joining in the tradition?? I couldn't.
So, on this overcast Saturday, if you were driving down the four lane street about 5 miles from our house, and saw this median that housed a "good patch" of bluebonnets....
...then you would have seen our car pulled over to the side of the rode....
...and these two kids being asked to sit in the flowers...
...ooops...don't pick one, Owen...
...or riding in their wagon (Daddy Q was pulling them)....
...not being asked "cheese"; because, I prefer more natural photos, ....
...but, being asked to smile for the camera so that we would have a good photo to give to that someone in our family who LOVES bluebonnet pictures!
These are for you, Grammie!!!
Happy *early* Mother's Day!!!
Thought this was funny...my poor boys both have allergies, and these photos did them in ;-)
