Owen was playing with a ring frisbee thing. He was throwing it in the air to see how high he could get it. One, he got it stuck on the fan on our porch. That made him quite proud. But, once, he threw it and it landed in my lemon tree. Sadly, it made one of my very few growing lemons fall from the tree. Boo. This made me a little sad.
But, it sure turned out to be quite a delight for the littler Quinlan boy. Liam was in search of a "ball" to go with his racket. He had been walking around the porch with the little yellow racket saying, "ball, ball, ball..." When he saw the un-ripe lemon on the ground....
He made lemon aide. He used that lemon as his "ball" and he worked on the drills that he has seen his daddy do with his big brother. He was trying to balance the ball on the racket and walk with it...kind of a lot for a baby that just started walking on Monday...don't ya think?
Watching him reminded me of a 14-month Owen using a small palm tree as a basketball hoop on a trip to Mexico. Click here if you want to remember that, too ;-)
Creative little fellas, aren't they?
